Northwest Remanufacturing Park is a progressive project to develop a major remanufacturing initiative in the Northwest of England. Backed by the Northwest Development Agency and Greater Manchester Waste, and in partnership with URBED, the Northwest Remanufacturing Park would become a dedicated site for a variety of waste materials from the domestic waste stream.
This waste will act as the feedstock for a number of converter companies, who will reprocess the materials to produce value-added commodities. All based on one site, it is currently anticipated that the facility would deal with glass, plastics, metals and paper, although this could be expanded as a result of the study. This innovative concept could then be rolled out in the Northwest and beyond.
