THe National Centre for Business & Stability

NW joined forces with The National Centre for Business and Sustainability (NCBS) at the start of 2002, to create an independent organisation with an unrivalled understanding of sustainability, and with the skills, capacity and networks to deliver solutions in all areas of environmental and social responsibility. The NCBS was set up in 1996 by a partnership consisting of The Co-operative Bank and the four Greater Manchester universities as an independent, not-for-profit consultancy, driven by ethical business values. It provides high quality advice to a range of organisations from trans-nationals to small and medium sized enterprises, and from public sector authorities and regulators to charities and social enterprises.
